The Coulee Region Chapter of Trout Unlimited is the chapter in the Heart of the Driftless Area. We protect and restore streams in La Crosse, Crawford, Juneau, Monroe, Richland, and Vernon counties - some of Wisconsin's most productive trout streams. We won't "hot spot" - you will have a hard time finding Coulee Region streams without an abundance of Trout - but we will freely share information about improving your skills.

Current Coulee Region Chapter of Trout Unlimited president, Jason Freund, wrote The Scientific Fly Angler which we are slowly editing and posting on our chapter's website. He writes a bit about science, a bit about the Coulee Region, and hopefully it is an entertaining read.

Coulee Region Trout Unlimited is situated in the heart of the Driftless Area. CRTU is home to hundreds of miles of trout streams filled with wild Brook and Brown Trout. And there are many great places to visit, eat, drink, and stay in the Coulee Region, read more about them.
