Aldo Leopold Day Celebration

Representatives of area conservation organizations that share environmental and conservation interests have planned the celebration free of charge. The local program will include a presentation by Steve Carlyon, La Crosse park and recreation director, about land conservation efforts that have led to the plans for an 8-mile recreation trail on the bluffs above La Crosse. The program will also include selected readings from Leopold’s “A Sand County Almanac.”
Participants will be invited to stay and continue the discussion of Leopold’s legacy during a social hour with a cash bar and dinner on their own at Forest Hills. For more information click here.

Also joining us will be representatives from the Gateway Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America to discuss possibilities of working together with our chapter to form a Venture Crew dedicated to trout fishing and conservation.
